Greetings!
As you know, the trade show season is upon us and DGI-I wants to make sure you have all that you need for your upcoming exhibit. In our Product Showcase this month we are spotlighting our newly revised Exhibitors Handbook to give you a wide array of options for your show graphics. Our Tip of the Month is a checklist of questions to help you evaluate the design of your current exhibit. As a trade show veteran, I thought I'd offer some of my own friendly tips: Wear comfortable shoes, bring hand sanitizer and don't forget the breath mints. Tylenol, Advil and Tums are always a sure bet. Tissues, scissors, post-it notes and paper clips come in handy. And of course, lots of business cards.  Lastly, schedule that massage for the day after the show...you'll need it!

Static & Dynamic Graphics Share the Same Stage

The Washington Trust Company, New Branch - Providence RI

The pairing of Digital Signage with traditional Large Format Graphics is becoming common practice.  Clients who are looking to get a digital video message out as well as enhance their space with graphics need a vendor who can offer both.  DGI-Invisuals and our Digital Signage division, Advanced Visual Technologies, (AVT) offer the best of these two worlds.
The recent renovation of Washington Trust's Providence location presented the perfect opportunity to utilize both of these mediums of visual communications. AVT provided content design and installation services for the Digital Signage.  This program included three LCD screens with separately targeted messages and the management and hosting for the network.   Training was provided to the Washington Trust marketing staff for content updating. The static graphics were Lambda photographs mounted to Plexiglas and installed using Stand Off hardware.  Custom digital wallpaper was installed in the ATM lobby, cut vinyl letters were applied along the interior and exterior glass to simulate etched glass, and a light box was added to the exterior display window with changeable graphics.  The client was thrilled with the upscale hi-tech outcome.  This success story is proof that our two divisions truly complement each other.  To learn more about AVT visit their web site at www.avtplus.com or call Jay Saret at 781.565.4250 to schedule a Digital Signage demonstration.
Tip of the Month
Having Trouble Attracting Attention?

Use The Following Points as a Guide to
Planning Your Next Exhibit.

  • Is your name professionally presented and located at the highest possible point in the exhibit?
  • Avoid placing text below the sight line.
  • Are your graphics easily read from 10-20 feet away?
  • Avoid nicks and dings in your exhibit, neatness does count!
  • Avoid being too wordy.
  • Use only high resolution images.
  • Place lights 2 to 3 feet for an even wash of light on your booth.
  • Do the colors attract the eye? Are they pleasing to the senses? Are they memorable?
  • Is the key point in your graphics prominently positioned?
  • Are your tables the correct height for the planned activities?
  • Are the video screens/monitors large enough and at the right height for easy viewing?
  • Is the demonstration area large enough for planned activities?
  • Is the lighting adequate for easy viewing of the exhibit?
  • Is there adequate storage space to eliminate a cluttered exhibit?
  • Use high chairs as part of set up, this allows you to be eye level with those who enter your booth.
  • Do not set up a table blocking the front entrance of your booth - it creates an immediate barrier between you and your potential client.
Special of the Month

Last month we received some great feedback from our What's On Your Mind section.  We were pleased to hear how many of our current clients said they would "very likely" refer us to a friend or colleague. So, we want to put our money where your mouth is.  Refer someone to us who is new to DGI-I.  If they spend over $250.00 on their first order we'll give you a $50.00 Visa gift card. This is a win win situation.  We get new clients, new clients get our expert services, and you get to go shopping!  Complete the form below and spread the word.  You can send us as many referrals as you like.
